Jennifer McMahon is a vocalist, songwriter, producer, performer and educator from Dublin. She holds a Master of Music in Contemporary Performance (Production Concentration) from Berklee College of Music where she graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2017.
This was also the birthplace of her debut album Part of The Whole, recorded at Berklee’s Ann Kreis Scoring Stage with more that 20 musicians from over 10 countries. Beacon Home and You Are Free, from the album, were chosen to be performed at Voices of Love, a fundraising concert in Valencia’s Palau de las Artes Reina Sofia which was sponsored by the UN for Sustainable Development Goals and was Jennifer’s first opportunity to arrange for and perform with a full orchestra and choir.
With a sound that straddles the borders of contemporary jazz, neo-soul and acoustic, the essence of her music ultimately offers a glimpse of hope, an understanding that in difficult times, there is happiness to be found; the light in the dark, the beauty in sadness, the stillness in turbulence.
Jennifer’s sophomore album is due in late 2022. The album brings together some of the main players from “Part of The Whole’ and was recorded at Sound Emporium Studios in Nashville, Tennessee in November 2021.
